In our program, your child will acquire skills in creative arts, scientific thinking, social studies, technology, and in social/emotional areas. Our licensed teachers will prepare your child for success in Kindergarten and beyond!

What is Meck Pre-K?

MECK Pre-K is high quality pre-K education open to all four-year-old children in Mecklenburg County at no cost to families. Classrooms are located in licensed child development centers and taught by licensed teachers and teacher assistants.

Who Qualifies for Meck Pre-K?

• Must live in Mecklenburg County
• Child must turn four years old on or before August 31 of the program year

Before- and after-school care is available for families needing additional support.
