Meet Our Director, Sheila Lee
Hi, I’m Sheila Lee! Born and raised in Spartanburg, I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart for 34+ years. We have two sons, two daughters, and a custodial niece. My husband’s 23-year military career has taken us to many states and countries.
With more than 19 years in childcare, I earned my Early Childhood Development Degree in 2021 from Spartanburg Community College. I began at The Sunshine House in 2008 as a toddler and two-year-old teacher, and became a Center Director in the Upstate Region in 2016.
I love spending time with my family, going on dates with my husband, shopping, traveling, and crocheting. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch children grow and know I’m helping shape their development.

Meet Our Assistant Director, Courtney Owens
My name is Courtney Owens, and I am excited to be here as Assistant Director in Woodruff, SC. I have been in early childcare for the better part of the last twenty years while obtaining my CDA and certifications. My passion has always been childcare and watching children grow to their fullest potential.
My family is from Denver, NC where my husband and I met, but we have found our forever home in Simpsonville, SC and have fallen in love with the area. We have four amazing children ranging from 11 to 21 and I love being a mother! I spend my free time at the ball field watching my son play baseball or taking our camper on trips!

Yes! Each classroom is equipped with security cameras, offering added peace of mind. Families can view the live feed anytime from our lobby or director’s office.
Yes! We provide nutritious and nourishing meals daily, including breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack—all planned by a licensed nutritionist. Vegetarian options are always available, and meals are included in tuition at no extra cost.
We take food allergies and dietary restrictions seriously. If your child has specific nutritional needs, please let us know, and we’ll work with your family to create a safe and suitable meal plan.
Communication is important! With the MySunshineHouse app, you’ll receive updates on your child’s activities, meals, naps, and diaper changes—plus photos and videos! We also offer family-teacher conferences and are always happy to chat in person or by phone about your child’s progress.

Daycare tuition is all-inclusive and includes daily meals, curriculum instruction and activities, Spanish, sign language, and literacy and character development programs. Our afterschool program includes transportation from school to the center each afternoon.
