Meet Our Director, Jeannie Russell
Hi, I’m Jeannie Russell, and I’ve been in childcare since 2006. While I’ve worked with all age groups, two-year-olds are my specialty. I hold a Master's Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Human Resources.
Before moving to Tennessee in 2018, I taught in Georgia. I’m a proud mother to a beautiful daughter, and we love spending time together—whether it's playing card games, roller skating, or baking delicious desserts.
I’m dedicated to providing high-quality education with a focus on developmentally appropriate practices for children. At The Sunshine House, families will find a welcoming, organized environment full of laughter and learning, supported by a motivated and creative team. Above all, we strive to offer families peace of mind, knowing their children are in caring hands.

Meet Our Assistant Director, Lindsey Driggers
HI! I’m Lindsey Driggers and I have been in childcare since 2019. I started out in the Infant classroom and moved up to Assistant Director very quickly because of my drive and ability to just “get it.” I currently hold my Master’s in Business Administration – Human Resources and plan on continuing in my love of learning.
I am originally from Georgia but moved to Tennessee in 2019 and started a family with my husband and two sons. The boys and I enjoy playing games together, completing puzzles together, and going camping in our RV.
I believe children learn best through play. Being a part of the Hixson Sunshine House Team has shown me what a fun, inviting place of business can do, to not only the moral of the staff, but also the love and trust we gain from the families and children that we serve.

Yes, each Sunshine House is state-licensed and regularly inspected to ensure we meet or exceed state standards, including child-to-teacher ratios, staff background checks, safety, security, and more. Most of our schools also hold additional state quality ratings and accreditations, demonstrating our commitment to high-quality care and education.
We know everyone’s schedule is different, and our goal is to be here when our families need us. Please contact our school for the most up-to-date availability of part-time or drop-in care.
Yes! Each classroom is equipped with security cameras, offering added peace of mind. Families can view the live feed anytime from our lobby or director’s office.
Yes! We provide nutritious and nourishing meals daily, including breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack—all planned by a licensed nutritionist. Vegetarian options are always available, and meals are included in tuition at no extra cost.
We take food allergies and dietary restrictions seriously. If your child has specific nutritional needs, please let us know, and we’ll work with your family to create a safe and suitable meal plan.
Communication is important! With the MySunshineHouse app, you’ll receive updates on your child’s activities, meals, naps, and diaper changes—plus photos and videos! We also offer family-teacher conferences and are always happy to chat in person or by phone about your child’s progress.
Childcare costs vary by location, your child’s age, and your scheduling needs. We’d love to discuss your options—please contact us so we can walk you through our program and care options.
Daycare tuition is all-inclusive and includes daily meals, curriculum instruction and activities, Spanish, sign language, and literacy and character development programs. Our afterschool program includes transportation from school to the center each afternoon.
